Bolinas on a winter's day...

On a recent February visit to San Francisco I took a little meander up Highway 1 to the little enclave known as Bolinas.  Crystal clear skies, warmish winter breezes, such a lovely day...

Heading across the Golden Gate.

Passing through Stinson Beach.

Taking in the magic on the peaceful shores of Bolinas.

Surfer graffiti?

Or community art?

The Emergence of Spirit House,
created by Ernesto Sanchez
for the community...
....inspired by the ancient Tantric axiom,
"Art is not a profession, but a path towards
truth and self-realization,
both for the creator and the viewer."

Amen!

Heading back to the city, fog rolling in...

...into the fog...

We live in a beautiful world.

A little Mark Twain, a little Stevie Ray Vaughan...

What to do on a Saturday night in rural Connecticut?  Well, way back when, Mark Twain frequented a little inn called the Redding Roadhouse.....

....this past Saturday night, friend Damon John Wade and his band blew the roof off the little Roadhouse with some blues Stevie Ray Vaughan (and even Mark Twain) would be proud of!

In between sets, you might take note of the interesting decor....

Not sure what's creepier,
the guy in the mural on the right (who's he leering at??)...

...or the fox chandelier.

This dude can PLAY.

And so can this little 12-year-old protege of Damon's.
